The QFHS offers an in-house genealogical research service to help with your endeavors. In addition, we have: Queries sent to us, a list of our members interests, special links to help in your research, from Computree column. useful Internet links (libraries, archives, etc.) Hints, tips, etc. to help your research - from various sources, including an interesting article on using your digital camera to record sources. We have added a listing of Quebec strays that have been submitted to our co-ordinator. NEW !! Monument (headstone) inscriptions for cemeteries in the Montreal (and some other) areas. NEW !! European Research Guides for research in Various Europeam Countries.. We also have a list of outside researchers who may be able to help you.

IN DEPTH RESEARCH - by the hour

We can conduct IN DEPTH RESEARCH for you - $20.00 an hour - we will search records within the Q.F.H.S. library and resources at outside centers. Fill out this In Depth Research Request form and enclose payment with request.

All research requests should be sent by regular postal mail with payment included. PAYMENT MUST ACCOMPANY THE SEARCH REQUEST, therefore, e-mail requests for research will not be processed.

Quality research takes time please allow 6 to 8 weeks for us to respond to your research request

Search by FEMALE OR MALE SURNAME.

Index states the Surname, Given Names, Church, Year, Folio/Page Number

For a flat fee of $5.00 for members and $8:00 for non-members, we will print out all entries for requested surname.
One spelling of the surname. Whyte and White or Mc and Mac = 2 surnames.

This is an index unique to the Quebec Family History Society. The female surnames have been incorporated into the male surname index.
