FEE,   Thomas (1816 Ireland - 1897 Montreal) and his wife, Charlotte WILLIAMS (1819 County Downs - 1896 Montreal). They lived many years in Ormstown before coming to Montreal. There is also a Henry FITZIMMONS and his wife Jane FEE living in Ormstown area, who are older than Thomas and related somehow but I do not know how.

FLAN(N)IGAN.  Alice FLAN(N)IGAN b. 11 May 1911, Lawn, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland, Canada, married Albert BRIAND (?) at Ste. Pierre et Miquelon.  Her religion was Roman Catholic.   Parents were Gregory and Mary FLAN(N)IGAN.  Moved to Montreal and, supposedly, had twin sons.   Seek information on Alice's family, children, grandchildren, etc.

GILES,    George Frederick, b. 30 May 1823 (?), died 24 Feb. 1903, East Templeton, Gatineau, QC. He married Mercy DUNNING 3 Jan. 1840, Ottawa, Carleton Co. ZON. George's family came from Virginia early in 1800's for they built the first plastered house in East Templeton, Gatineau Valley in 1827.

GORDON.  I am trying to find where brothers, James and William GORDON, and possibly a brother Alexander, came from in Scotland.  When did they arrive in Canada? James was married to Catherine McMARTIN in 1827.  William was married to Isabella BLECK of Quebec.

GROSSE ILE Seeking descendants of immigrants to Grosse Ile, QC. I am a writer of children's books. I am currently working on a book on Grosse Ile and would like to incorporate stories and anecdotes from ancestors of immigrants who would have arrived in Canada by the port of Quebec City, or would have possibly been quarantined on Gross Ile during the years of its operation from 1832-1937.

HARDIE.    Looking for descendants of William and Isabella HARDIE, who, I believe, emigrated from Scotland to the New Richmond are of Quebec. I have found the family in the 1871, '81 and '91 Canadian census. They had 8 children, seven boys and one girl. More info needed.

HOPE.   After arriving in Quebec in 1882 on the Sardinian my great aunts Catherine HOPE age 13, and Jane HOPE, age 9, where and with whom would they be sent to live? Would they have retained their own surname, and if adopted, the name of the family who took them in?  I can then look them up in the 1881 census.

HUMPHREY, Jeffery.  George HUMPHREY of Dartmouth, Captain of the ship Margaret m. Margaret Stockwell JEFFERY (daughter of Robert and Elizabeth JEFFERY), 29 Oct. 1847 at Chalmers Church, Quebec City.  Found a baptism for two daughters; their father was deceased.  Emily and Margaret Adelaide were both baptized 20 Nov. 1858.  Would like further information of this family.

HYDE/MILLAR/MILLER.  James HYDE, b. Jan. 1836 Quebec m. Matilda MILLAR at St. Andrew's Presbyterian, Huntingdon, QC 22 June 1858.  Witnesses were John HYDE and Daniel MILLER (perhaps fathers as first son was John Daniel).  James appeared on Territories census, Pembina Co.  Trying to locate where in Quebec James was born and information on other family members.

JEFFREY, Robert a stoneworker from Scotland was married to Elizabeth TUPPER in 1818 Quebec City.   Their children were:  Hannah, Margaret, Caroline, Robert, Elizabeth,George, Harriet and Julia.  Other families from Quebec City are connected: HUMPHRIES, NORTON, BROUSSEAU, DUCLOS, GUENET, ROBERTSON and LAPRISE.

The family was not listed on the 1901 census. Children were baptized at St. George Church, Lennoxville. JORDAN, Samuel from Ireland married to Mary QUIGLEY, had a son William in 1852 in Quebec City.  Samuel remarried to Matilda in 1860 in Quebec City, widow of John MANLY.  They had a child, Matilda who married a John PERRY in Quebec City in 1884.  Children of Matilda and John PERRY are:  Samuel, Sarah, Ethel, Matilda, Herbert and William.  Matilda, the mother, died Sept. 1898 and is buried in Mount Hermon Cemetery, Quebec City.

JORDAN, William b. 1852 Quebec City, son of Samuel JORDAN and Mary QUIGLEY, married three times.  First to Ann REDDY and had two children that lived, Peter and Samuel. William then married Agnes BROWN and had three children, Mary, John and William.  After his second wife died he married Ellen Martha GIBBS in 1913 in Quebec City.  Other surnames connected with family are HANSEN, COLLINS, GORE, TISDALE, KINGSTON, McKEE and FROST.

KEOGH, Percy,    b. 25 Oct. 1881, Dudley, England. Father was Thomas KEOGH, mother Mary Anne BILLINGHAM. Percy traveled to Montreal on SS Parisian in June 1894 with a group of children from Middlemore Homes, Birmingham but was not placed by Middlemores. Seeking information on where he went from Montreal. I think it was a farm in Eastern Townships.

KERR/HENDERSON. Would like to “find” more descendants of the five KERR and HENDERSON families who arrived in Quebec Province, settling in Argenteuil County. They had lived in County Sligo, Ireland, where they had been born and married. Between them they had ~ 50 children. My ancestors came down to Massachusetts.

LANIGAN. James LANIGAN marr. Elizabeth WREN in 1848 (my ancestor). Elizabeth Wren donated land to her son, James LANIGAN, 13 Jan. 1879. I believe Elizabeth was sister of Maria WREN, my great-grandmother, who lived in Frampton, Qc. and is buried in Christ Church Anglican cemetery, Frampton.

LEFEBVRE-BEAUVAIS.     Seeking information on Edouard LEFEBVRE (widower of Helen BROSSARD and Julienne STE. GEMME dit BEAUVAIS (widow of Joseph BOUCHER dit BELLEVILLE). Edouard and Julienne married 17 July 1860, LaPrairie, QC. Julienne found on 18809 US census, Mackinac County, Michigan in the household of Isai BOUCHER/BOUCHA, her son. Julienne's age given as 74 and listed as a widow. Michigan death record not found.

LEGER.  Seek information on Odilom LEGER, born abt. March 1836, possibly in Quebec City area.  With his first wife he had four children:  George, Eveline, Lulu and Edith.  Then he married Hilda ANDREWS, b. 1856, and they had Enid, Oswald, Christine, Ivan and Beryl.  In 1891 census they were in Lachine.  He died in Montreal in 1910.
