1906), lived in Quebec City or Isle d'Orleans. Their son was also named Charles
STUART-BAILEY, b. 1893 England, d. 1917 in WWI. I am seeking descendants or
relatives of these families.

MAHAN/CARR. Thomas MAHAN (age ?) married Sarah Rebecca CARR (age 16) on l Feb. 1848 at the Methodist Church,
Clarenceville. The children of Thomas and Sarah were: David William, b.28 Aug. 1848, Charles Lester, b.23 June 1850,
James Edward Eugene, b. 8 July 1857, Henry Elmer, b. 1 April 1852 (I believe he died 16 July 1853, buried in the
Philipsburg Protestant Cemetery) and Chauncey Winters, b. 2 July 1859. An extract from the marriage of Charles
Lester in 1873 showed he was the son of the late Thomas MAHAN, in his lifetime of the aforesaid Phillipsburgh
which shows that Thomas had been living in Phillipsburgh before he died prior to 1873. Would like to find the
birth and death records for Thomas and Sarah.

McCASKILL, Margaret. Born 1846 in
Ontario (1871 & 1881 census for Montreal) HAD BROTHER, Donald who immigrated to
the USA. She married 187=67 Edward William THORNE (see THORNE query). She died
1899 and was buried Mount Royal Cemetery. Seek parents and place of birth.

MCGREGOR. Robert married Sussanah DENETRAL/DEMATRAILLE, possibly married 17 Oct. 1788 and supposedly living in Pointe Claire. Robert was to have been a merchant in and about Montreal. I have been able to find as a name in Quebec of DENETRAL or DEMATYRAILLE, as well as a marriage record for Robert McGREGOR and Sussanah.

McCREA, Hugh. He had a son named James
Daniel McCREA who is believed to have been born in "southern Canada" on 25 Dec.
1812. James is supposed to have had a sister, Catherine, and a mother who was
quite young. He also had a cousin who was named Archibald SWORDS.

Michael married in E. Hawkesbury 1872 Margaret CARKNER. They lived in Barb, St.

McMANUS/CROWLEY/O'LEARY. James McMANUS and wife Nancy CROWLEY lived in Huntingdon Co. circa 1830-1865. Children were: John, Hannah, James, Rosy, Thomas and, possibly, Hugh and Barnabas. MONTIZAMBERT,Guy. Seeking descendants of, or information about Guy MONTIZLAMBERT. His wife was Eva GRAHAM. Guy was born about 1880, and in the 1891 census he was in Port Hope, ON. But his father J.R. MONTIZAMBERT and mother were recorded as born in Quebec about 1857. I believe that Guy served in the RCMP.

MORRISSEY. According to family legend, John Michael MORRISSEY arrived in Canada from Co. Kerry, Ireland in 1851-52 at the age of 12. They settled in St. Mary D'Ely, QC. (Maricourt). wife Elizabeth STEWART came to Quebec province from Antrim, Ireland c1822. This
family later moved to Lambton County, ON. Elizabeth appears as a 'widow' on the

NORTH. Joseph (Arthur?) NORTH left Dedham, Massachusetts near or before 1900 on his way to a seminary in Quebec. He stopped for the night at a farmhouse in Quebec, where they made his so welcome that he stayed the rest of his life. He was born in 1871 in Heckmondwike, Yorkshire, England. Parents were John and Margaret (WESTWIKE) NORTH. Need information on death certificate.

PELTIER, Althidore A., born Oct. 2, 1825 in Quebec, and died on Feb. 22, 1903 in Indiana, USA. Emigrated to USA in 1840. Married in 1865 to Mrs. Matilda RATEL and had two children, Minnie L. born in 1874 and another who died in infancy. Was a trapper for awhile, and in 1863 came to Warren County and engaged in the saw milling business.

STEWART Lived in St.Sylvestre, Lotbiniere Co., Quebec during 1830' and 1840's. At some point they moved to Leeds Village where my grandfather, Wilbur Harwill STEWART was born 1867. THORNE, Edward William, born 1837 Wiltshire, England. He emigrated 1866 with Royal Welsh Fusiliers
to Montreal, m. 1867 here to Margaret McCASKLE (McCASKILL). Their children include
Mary Ann (born USA), William and Henry, (twins), James, Albert, Isaac. Wife Mary died 1899,
buried Mount Royal Cemetery. Edward witness at her death; also son Albert's.
He remarried again in 1901 to Emma Elizabeth McCARGAR. Edward died post 1901.

WALKER, James, 6th Royal Veterans Battalion, arrived in Quebec March/April 1807
with his wife Margaret and perhaps a few children. They had two known children, William, age 5, who
died in Quebec City shortly after they arrived, and Maria, age 10 months, who was born and died in
Quebec City 21 May 1809. On 3rd April 1807, he was transferred to 10th RVB, and promoted to Corporal.
He was still in Quebec at the end of 1811, but by 1812, having been demoted to Private, was stationed
in Kingston, ON until invalided and paid up until 24 Sept. 1815. The 10th RVB became the 4th RVB at
the beginning of 1815. James seems to have stayed around the Depot until Dec. 1815 but was finally
discharged on 14th Jan. 1816. Henceforth he is 'lost' with no evidence of his claiming or receiving
a pension. Any information would be appreciated
