About QFHS
The Quebec Family History Society was founded August 1, 1977 to encourage the study of genealogy in Quebec and around the world. We are registered Canadian charity that helps people of all backgrounds research their family history.

Our members, in addition to researching their Quebec roots, research historical records in all Canadian provinces and territories, the United States, the British Isles, and Western Europe.

Through the dedicated work of volunteers, we have assembled an impressive list of monument inscriptions from cemeteries across Quebec.

We want to help you learn more about your family history.

Our Heritage Centre and Library holds a large collection of books and other resources in print, CD, microfilm and online.

We offer seminars, lectures and conferences, and three times a year we publish a journal, Connections. We also organize research trips to archival centres plus tours of Montreal’s largest and most well-known cemeteries, Mount Royal and Notre-Dame-des-Neiges.
